Mediation
What is Mediation?
Mediation is a way for both parties to work together to agree on the answers to their questions instead of having a Judge in Court make decisions for them. Both parties will meet with a Mediator who will help them figure out what their important questions are, what information they need to know, and to agree on solutions that are acceptable to both parties. Mediation can help you find solutions to your own questions and learn better communication skills so both parties can communicate post-divorce.
Divorce is the largest financial transaction in most lives. Pacific Divorce Management will work in conjunction with your attorneys as an expert neutral evaluator and mediator for financial issues.
- We will help you build a complete data gathering process, creative strategies and ultimately sound financial decisions so there are no unexpected consequences and the most favorable financial outcome is achieved for both parties.
- You will understand the short and long-term impact of every financial decision you face and we will offer insight into the pros and cons of different settlement proposals so that you may choose the option most consistent with your goals.
- We will offer you planning strategies and help brainstorm solutions for each and every question or concern.
- We will provide an objective viewpoint during an emotional time to help you: Determine whether you can afford to keep the house and how the decision should be carried out if you should decide to do so; understand the law of diminishing returns and when to let it dictate a solution.
- You will avoid the common financial mistakes made in divorce and choose the best settlement options for you and your family.
- You must have a consulting attorney. You may also choose to have us co-mediate with an attorney mediator. Pacific Divorce Management does not provide legal advice. You must understand your rights and obligations under the law in order to be a willing and able participant in a mediation process. Only an attorney can explain these rights and obligations completely.
- Pacific Divorce Management does not draft agreements or legal documents of any type.
